UCSB’s Campus offers a variety of scenic trails that connect students and visitors to the natural beauty of the coastline. Whether you're looking for a quick walk between classes or a longer escape into nature, the trails around campus provide a mix of ocean views, open grasslands, and ecological preserves.

The North and West Campus Bluffs are some of the most picturesque areas to explore. North Campus Open Space, a restored wetland, features winding trails and diverse wildlife, making it a peaceful spot for walking or biking. West Campus Bluffs lead to Sands Beach and Coal Oil Point Reserve, where visitors can take in sweeping ocean views and observe local shorebirds, including the threatened snowy plover.
