Welcome Trail Runners!
Join us for the Island View Endurance Run, a premier trail running event that attracts runners from across the nation. This is the Trails Council's eighth and most ambitious trail running event. Challenge yourself on one of California’s most breathtaking courses, featuring sweeping island and ocean views along the beautiful Gaviota Coast.
Located between Santa Barbara and Buellton, this remarkable route winds through the Los Padres National Forest and the Santa Ynez Mountains, offering diverse terrain and unforgettable scenery. Runners can choose from 12K, 25K, 50K, 100K, or 100-mile ultra distances, with climbs to Gaviota Peak, panoramic ridgelines, and shaded canyon trails. Whether you are a seasoned ultrarunner or a first-time trail enthusiast, the Island View Endurance Run provides a challenging and inspiring experience in one of California’s most beautiful natural settings.
Trail run proceeds benefit trails in Santa Barbara County. The Trails Council, along with community partners and supporters, maintains single-track trails in the Los Padres National Forest from the foothills to the crest of the Santa Ynez Mountains above South Coast communities and on the Gaviota Coast.
