Trail Highlights
Enjoy a one-mile walk around a grove of 2,400 olive trees located in the 95-acre Mission Santa Inés National Historic Landmark District. The olive grove lies between the mission and a milling complex built in 1821. In addition to the olive grove, the route offers panoramic views of the Santa Ynez Mountains, picturesque views of the Old Mission Santa Inés, and a side trail to the historic grist and fulling mills. The fulling mill, built by Joseph Chapman, is one of the earliest industrial sites in California and the only known water-powered fulling mill on the West Coast.
