Trail Highlights
Tangerine Falls Trail is a short but steep adventure that rewards hikers with one of the most scenic waterfalls in the Santa Barbara area. The route offers lush canyon views, creek crossings, and a rugged climb to a picturesque 100-foot waterfall—best viewed after recent rain.

Trail Description
The trail begins at the end of West Fork Cold Spring Trail and winds through shaded oak and sycamore groves. Hikers should be prepared for uneven terrain, rock scrambling, and some confusing junctions—GPS or a map is recommended. The climb to the falls involves bouldering and light climbing but leads to a breathtaking view of the cascading water and the canyon below. Conditions vary seasonally, and the falls may dry up in summer or drought periods.

Directions
From Santa Barbara, take Mission Canyon Road to Foothill Road, then turn onto Cold Springs Road. Continue to Mountain Drive and park near the trailhead for West Fork Cold Spring Trail. Look for signage marking the turnoff to Tangerine Falls about a mile into the hike. Street parking is limited—arrive early.
