Planned Giving
Consider leaving a legacy of stewardship. Including the Trails Council in your will or estate plan ensures that future generations can continue to enjoy the trails, parks, and open spaces that define Santa Barbara County.
Donor-Advised Funds
A donor-advised fund (DAF) allows you to support the causes you care about most while maximizing tax benefits. If you have a DAF, you can recommend a grant to the Santa Barbara County Trails Council at any time.
Qualified Charitable Distributions
If you are 70½ or older, you can make a tax-free gift directly from your IRA to the Trails Council. This is a simple, tax-efficient way to support trail access, habitat restoration, and public engagement programs.
Corporate Sponsorships
Our corporate partners help strengthen community connections through trail building, outdoor recreation, and sustainability projects. We work with businesses of all sizes to create sponsorship opportunities that align with your company’s goals and values — from event sponsorships like the Island View Endurance Run to long-term project partnerships.
Gifts of Stock or Securities
Donating appreciated assets like stocks or bonds can provide tax advantages while making a meaningful difference for our trails and outdoor spaces.
