The Santa Ynez Valley Citizens Council (SYVCC) is a community-based organization dedicated to preserving the unique character, history, and natural beauty of the Santa Ynez Valley. Founded by local residents in response to growing development pressures, SYVCC advocates for responsible and sustainable planning that reflects the vision of our communities and General Plans. Members include residents, business owners, and community leaders from Solvang, Santa Ynez, Ballard, Los Olivos, Buellton, and Los Alamos who share a commitment to protecting the integrity of the valley’s landscapes, towns, and way of life. Through public engagement, collaboration with local government, and when necessary, legal advocacy, SYVCC works to ensure that growth enhances—rather than compromises—the future of our region.
