Future Leaders of America (FLA) is a nonprofit organization founded in 1982, dedicated to empowering Latinx youth across California’s Central Coast through culturally responsive leadership development, advocacy, and educational programming. FLA offers year-round initiatives such as youth leadership conferences, university seminars, family leadership camps, and peer-led advocacy groups that foster civic engagement, personal growth, and community resilience.With regional offices in Santa Barbara, Santa Maria, and Oxnard, FLA serves youth aged 11–25, focusing on building confidence, public speaking skills, and policy advocacy capacity. Through its programs, FLA cultivates the next generation of changemakers committed to equity and social justice.
