The Santa Barbara County Hikers was founded to encourage people to get outside and enjoy the beauty surrounding us. We all benefit from free access to the incredible network of trails weaving through our coastal mountains, the Gaviota coastline, the Santa Ynez Valley, and the spectacular Santa Barbara backcountry. These trails are a true community treasure—at their best when they’re well loved, well used, and well cared for.
We believe hiking is more than just a walk in the woods—it’s a way to connect with nature, meet great people, and give back to the places we love. Our guided group hikes are designed to be welcoming, fun, and supportive, whether you're a seasoned hiker or just getting started.
